About the South Carolina Association for Educational Technology (SCAET)
SCAET is a nonprofit association organized under the South Carolina Nonprofit Organization Code. The purpose of the association is to promote the innovative, intelligent and responsible use of technology in education. The Association goals are realized through the hosting of several programs and projects including the annual educational technology conference, SC EdTech.
To provide a venue to celebrate and recognize best practices in the implementation of technology in education, SCAET founded the annual Technology Innovative Program (TIP) Awards. Each year schools and districts are recognized for outstanding examples of how technology can enhance education in K-12 within the state.
