What’s your work-life philosophy?

As a former service member with the U.S. Marine Corps, I have adopted a work-life philosophy which includes having attention to detail and having a high sense of integrity.  These have enriched my life both personally and professionally more than anything else.

What do you like best about working at UDT?

At UDT I most enjoy the people that I work with and the sense of family that is being built.  There is a high level of expertise here.

What does a typical day as an IT Support Analyst look like?

My day always starts with a walkthrough of the office where I greet everyone; it is how I can be proactive by giving people a chance to see and talk to me directly. I then go through my tickets and assist remote users with any issues they may be having.  Afterwards I can review past tickets and I try to see if I am able to make updates to our systems/procedures to help optimize our users and minimize new trouble tickets.

What technology solutions do you use in your role?

In my role, I depend heavily on remote tools such as Webex Teams and Microsoft Teams for communication due to its ease of use and ability to screenshare.  I also use administrative management and reporting tools from Microsoft to better track and proactively maintain the current IT environment.

What is the best professional advice you would give?

My advice to anyone in my field is to always keep pushing forward with your education. Technology is a constantly evolving market and remaining stationary with a comfortable process or technological asset can sometimes be the same as moving backwards in both security and productivity.

People would be surprised if they knew you…

Work diligently with non-profits to aid in the housing of low income and chronically homeless veterans using my own assets. I am also very handy around the house performing most of my own repairs.

What do you enjoy doing in your time off?

In my time off I enjoy spending time with family and friends, traveling and watching movies.  I also enjoy taking part in volunteer opportunities.
