UDT Announces Major Promotions to Align with National Growth

Doral, FL – March 3rd, 2016 – UDT a leading national provider of technology solutions and managed services in the United States , today announced a number of promotions as part of its continuous expansion into the managed services and cloud-based solutions sector. Key areas of opportunity to the company’s strategic growth and committed focus of helping clients reduce the risks, costs and complexity associated with technology.

UDT announced the appointment of Jesus Peña as Executive Vice President of Sales and Services; Charles Grau as Chief Information Officer; Carlos Marchini to Vice President of Cloud Architecture; Tony Cossio as Vice President of Public Sector and Justin Jimenez as Vice President of Sales and Services.

Jesus Peña will be responsible for P&L for the Southeast and Texas-Oklahoma (TOLA) commercial business, as well as directing all the company’s managed services capabilities, developing its new security practice area, and upgrading its call center. He will be reporting to newly-appointed President, Gerard Amaro.

“Jesus has played an important role in growing our service offerings, including the launch of Managed IT as a Service (MITaaS) and eCloud,” said Henry Fleches, CEO of UDT.

Charles Grau will be assuming key responsibilities from Gerard Amaro in his former role as Chief Operations Officer, including overseeing UDT’s Configuration Center located in Orlando Florida, as well as focusing on automation, selection of a new ERP system, and delivering UDT’s Customer Cloud Portal – a self-service, self-provisioning platform for Cloud to be launched early next year.

“Charles’ track record and vision make him the ideal person to lead the company in this pivotal role,” said Fleches.

Tony Cossio , will be leading our strategy to expand business within the firm’s top 125 key accounts throughout the Southeast, an area where he and his team have demonstrated remarkable competence.

“This initiative will be a crucial part of UDT’s growth and requires the persistence, focus and demonstrated proficiency that Tony brings,” said Fleches.

Justin Jimenez , will continue to build our engineering and sales relationships with business partners as well as growing UDT’s presence into other areas like Texas-Oklahoma (TOLA).

“Justin has been a key resource and great asset to our Executive Team, he brings the expertise and the drive we need to expand our territories,” said Jesus Pena.

Carlos Marchini will be responsible for enabling UDT to create hybrid cloud offerings across multiple vendor platforms. Carlos will be leading the design of new solution offerings in four key areas: applications, network, virtual and security.

All promotions are part of a series of leadership changes designed to continue the firm’s evolution to managed services and cloud-based solutions – key growth areas central to the company’s focus of helping clients reduce the risks, costs and complexity associated with technology.

  1. Determine which systems were impacted and immediately isolate them. Take the network offline at the switch level or physically unplug the systems from the wired or wireless network.
  2. Immediately take backups offline to preserve them. Scan backups with anti-virus and malware tools to ensure they’re not infected
  3. Initiate an immediate password reset on affected user accounts with new passwords that are no less than 14 characters in length. Do this for Senior Management accounts as well.
