UDT Lends a Helping Hand to Benefit Nashville Food Relief

NASHVILLE, TN- September 1st, 2010 –  IT customers and vendors  recently descended upon the greens  of  The Governor’s Club in Brentwood, TN to  compete for bragging rights, while raising money for disaster relief for flood victims, at the first annual UDT Golf Tournament.   The event, held July 19th to benefit Nashville Flood Relief, was organized by UDT (UDT) , one of the fastest growing IT solutions companies in the Southeast and Midwest United States.  With the support of corporate partners like Intel, Cisco, Microsoft, and Synnex, UDT donated the proceeds to the Community Foundation of Middle Tennessee , and various families, for flood relief and restoration.

The golf tournament also provided an opportunity for UDT, an IT solutions firm headquartered in Miami that recently expanded its operations to Nashville and Knoxville, to introduce itself to the Tennessee community. The event was free to the public and attracted more than 100 customers and vendors. “UDT is now part of the Tennessee community and it’s our obligation to help when we can, especially during this economic downturn,” said Scott Byers , UDT’s Vice President of Sales. “We don’t want to be just another business in Nashville and the surrounding areas, but part of the community, developing lasting partnerships and relationships.”

UDT was recently named one of the 50 fastest growing IT firms in the United States by Everything Channel, and one of the 500 largest solution providers in North America by VARBusiness magazine. The new offices in Nashville and Knoxville are part of the company’s expansion across the Southeast, offering businesses, government institutions, and school districts, a world-class choice for their technology needs.

“We wanted to expand our offerings to other areas of the country and our move to Tennessee opens up many opportunities,”

Byers said.

“UDT continues to be the number one resource of choice for many customers and we’re looking to build on that reputation as we target new markets.” To learn more about UDT’s unique value proposition, please visit them online at www.udtonline.com or contact Marvin Dejean , Director of Marketing at 305-882-0435 xt. 5916 or via e-mail at [email protected] .
