What’s your work-life philosophy?
My work life philosophy is simple, work hard but also make time for family.
What do you like best about working at UDT?
The culture is what I like best. It’s the fact that there is a true “team” mentality and we all work together to meet a common goal, which is providing the best solutions for our customers. We always have each other’s back and that fosters a healthy work environment.
How are UDT’s solutions unique?
At UDT we architect custom end-to-end technology solutions. We have the ability to tailor these solutions to any business vertical whether it is education, large enterprise, public sector, federal, healthcare, or SMB. Where some VARS try to sell what we call a “box” (single purpose device), we take a look at all of the business objectives or problems and design solutions using all the tools at our disposal to solve those needs.
How does your position aid the account managers?
I provide our account teams with the ability to sell unique solutions and services that set them apart from our competitors. I’m able to pull in resources and deliver in areas where our competition fails, which has lead me to become a trusted advisor for all of our customers. This has allowed us to gain market share, thereby making the account managers story more compelling as we grow our region.
What is the best professional advice you would give?
Work hard, stay humble, be patient, and strive to be the best at whatever you do.
People would be surprised if they knew you…
I have 160+ IT certifications as I’ve became certified on every technology I’ve ever touched since 2003. Why? Because early in my career I was turned down for a job because I did not have any certifications.
What do you enjoy doing in your time off?
I enjoy spending time with my family no matter what the activity. Regardless if its playing basketball with my girls or just sitting and watching a movie, I’m happy.
