What’s your work-life philosophy?
It’s cliché, but I’m a firm believer of “work hard, play hard.” I strive for accomplishment both inside and outside of the office and try to keep a healthy balance between the two.
What do you like best about working at UDT?
I am constantly working on new and interesting projects which help me to grow and gain new knowledge and experience.
How is UDT’s cybersecurity offering unique?
We have an outstanding team of people with diverse backgrounds and great experience in a variety of facets of cybersecurity.
How does utilizing UDT’s managed security offering make client’s lives easier?
It is incredibly difficult to secure your business against hackers, breaches, and other threats to security, especially considering various government regulations and industry standards. Many organizations are unequipped to effectively take on such a challenge on their own. UDT has the technical expertise and cybersecurity experience necessary to keep our clients’ data safe and assets secure and let them focus on other important areas of their business.
How does UDT’s cybersecurity offering support clients while cyber threats continue to evolve?
Cybersecurity is in constant flux and change; newer and more advanced malware and attacking techniques are regularly unveiled, attack surfaces are rapidly expanding, and the barriers to entry for cyber-criminals are continuing to fall. The technologies we utilize are highly effective in stopping modern attack vectors, including zero-day attacks. UDT is always on top of the latest threats and is constantly monitoring various threat intelligence feeds to ensure that our clients’ security needs are met.
What is the best professional advice you would give?
Never lose your desire to learn and always work to improve yourself. For those in the cybersecurity field, having a quality home lab is one of the best ways to get hands-on experience with new technologies.
People would be surprised if they knew you…
I have been bungee jumping from one of the highest bungees in the world and have been skydiving as well; both of those were the easy compared to my irrational fear of needles and shots. Either that, or that I am a complete night owl and would be happiest/most productive sleeping all day and working all night.
What do you enjoy doing on your time off?
Traveling! Exploring new places, cities, and countries is one of my favorite things to do. I have traveled to 30 countries and am always trying to visit more. Aside from that, I love playing sports, going to football games (go Canes!) and rock concerts, eating good food, and spending time with friends and family.
