eMerge Americas brings together best of SoFla tech scene

eMerge Americas showcased the latest in technology, and brought together the South Florida tech community over the course of two days. Kicking off on June 12, the conference featured engaging panels, booths from companies and universities, and prominent keynote speakers. UDT (UDT) was at the event with a booth, plus hosted a session on cyber security.

On Tuesday, June 13, the Director of MSSP and Information Security at UDT Manny Fernandez spoke to a group regarding cyber security issues, plus common issues that many companies run into. He also covered some industry specific best practices with guests, including simple ways to safeguard devices that are used every day.

“As a leading technology solutions provider UDT prides itself with the partnership we have established with the Emerge founders and is happy to continue to supporting the largest technology summit with over 13,000 people in attendance,” said Guillermo Benites, Vice President of Financial Services at UDT.

Guest keynote speakers included Steve Wozniak, Suze Orman, Armando Christian “Pitbull” Perez, and Manny Medina. Smaller breakout sessions featured entrepreneurs talking about their experiences, and shared the best practices they have learned along the way. Before the main conference, a Startup Showcase Bootcamp and a hackathon were hosted.

Over the course of two days, eMerge Americas brought together entrepreneurs, women in technology, startup founders, and larger companies together to network and learn.
