What are some of your work essentials?
I think that I would consider myself basic. Outside of the standard road warrior sales rep setup (i.e. phone, laptop, CRM, car), I like to have a strong coffee (or two), my daily “to do” list, my LinkedIn account, and my fellow UDT coworkers (to learn from and to be able to leverage their expertise and experience).
Being new to the UDT family, how would you best describe the company culture?
I love that I am a part of an organization where everyone is so dedicated to being successful in their roles and contributes to UDT’s success overall. The best part is that everyone that I get to work with treats me like I am part of the family. The focus and commitment to me and the communities that we live and work in is what I feel really sets UDT’s company culture apart and makes me feel proud to work here.
What motivates you as a sales professional?
Meeting new people and finding ways to connect and add value to them is my biggest motivator. I love seeing customers find success with the solutions and services that I introduce them to and assist them with.
How can companies in Orlando better leverage technology to advance their mission?
I believe that companies in Orlando should continue to use the resources that already make it a leading global city. Those resources are its people. I am amazed at how technical Orlando is and how motivated everyone is to learn new technologies and new ways to enhance their jobs and businesses. Since Orlando is already a digital city with all the media, simulation/testing, healthcare, entertainment, engineering, financial, construction and real estate happening here, I feel that Orlando can better leverage technologies like automation, artificial intelligence, machine learning and cloud along with the services to design, implement and manage them so that it can continue to stay competitive.
What is the best professional advice you would give?
Be open to new ideas and new ways of doing things since nothing lasts forever. I would also recommend having a plan “B & C” in your back pocket.
People would be surprised if they knew you…
I started and ran a golf apparel clothing line for teens called ProdigyGolfer™ where I auditioned for Shark Tank and got a call back to submit a company video. Unfortunately, I did not make it to the final stage to be on the show.

What do you enjoy doing in your time off?
I love spending time with my family. With two teenage boys, there is never a dull moment in the Wayne household. I like taking walks with my wife Lauren, riding my bicycle, photography, golf and relaxing.
