UDT’s CIO Charles Grau to be Featured Panelist at HITEC’s Americas IT Summit

Grau Will Participate in a Technology Executive Rapid Fire Session on Thursday

April 20, 2016 – Doral, Florida – Charles Grau, CIO of UDT, Inc. (UDT), a leading national provider of technology solutions and managed services in the United States, will be participating in the Technology Executive Rapid Fire session at the Hispanic IT Executive Council’s (HITEC) Americas IT Summit & HITEC 50 Luncheon, which will be held at the InterContinental Hotel. Grau’s talk is slated for 1:30 p.m. on Thursday, April 21.

Grau will share the experiences and inspirations that led to him becoming a core member of UDT’s executive team, as well as his practices and insights as a leader in technology in this 10-12 minute TED Talk-style session.

As CIO, Grau leads UDT’s IT strategy and technological innovation initiatives. He ensures that UDT’s clients’ needs are being met at the core of all products, services, and development initiatives. In addition to more than 15 years of executive experience, Grau earned bachelor and master degrees in information technology, as well as an MBA. He has served as president and member of the board of trustees at iCoast CIO Council for the past five years and is a member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE).

The HITEC panel will also include the Group CIO for Supply Chain and VP at Johnson & Johnson, Guillermo Ardon, and the VP of Information Services at Lockheed Martin, Monica McManus.

  1. Determine which systems were impacted and immediately isolate them. Take the network offline at the switch level or physically unplug the systems from the wired or wireless network.
  2. Immediately take backups offline to preserve them. Scan backups with anti-virus and malware tools to ensure they’re not infected
  3. Initiate an immediate password reset on affected user accounts with new passwords that are no less than 14 characters in length. Do this for Senior Management accounts as well.
