UDT’s CEO A Finalist for Top Entreprenurial Award

Henry Fleches, chief executive officer of UDT, a leading IT solutions company in the United States

Doral, Fla. – Feb. 3, 2016 – Henry Fleches, chief executive officer of UDT, a leading IT solutions company in the United States, has been selected as a nominee for a Top Entrepreneurial Award presented by the Greater Miami Chamber of Commerce.

Fleches is a finalist in the “Executive of the Year” category, which is presented annually to a business leader who has “devoted time and energy to strengthen and transform the organization,” according to the chamber website. “This includes specific situations or initiatives where the nominee’s insight, discernment and ability to lead and inspire have guided his/her organization to a new level of growth, achievement and recognition.”

Winners of Top Entrepreneurial awards will be announced Feb. 18 at a luncheon that will be held at the Rusty Pelican in Miami.

“I am honored to be considered for such an illustrious award,” said Fleches. “I share the recognition with all of the executives and employees at UDT who have helped transform the company from a small start-up in my parents’ home to a multi-million dollar enterprise that continues to expand nationally.”

Fleches co-founded UDT in 1995 after entering the IT field while working in the labs at Miami Dade Community College. In addition to leading the company through constant change over the years, one of his most significant accomplishments is the company’s year-over-year growth through the recession. UDT grew over 500 percent between 2008 and 2014.

UDT is a founding member of the U.S. Hispanic Chamber of Commerce’s Hispanic Business Enterprise Program.  Fleches received the Hispanic Businessman of the Year Award from the U.S Hispanic Chamber of Commerce in 2015.
