UDT has opened its new headquarters in Miramar, and welcomed two tenants to the office building.
The 56,710-square-foot Miramar Tech Center was completed at 2900 Monarch Lakes Blvd. UDT, which relocated its headquarters from Doral, owns the building and occupies 21,155 square feet there. The company has 250 employees.
Blanca Commercial Real Estate represented the IT provider in signing leases of 7,011 square feet with 03b Networks, a satellite operator that’s a subsidiary of SES Networks, and 6,525 square feet with the University of Florida’s Warrington’s College of Business.
The satellite company 03b Networks, which worked with Juan Jaramillo of FGI Realty, was previously in a nearby executive suite. Tom Farmer of Franklin Street represented UF, which relocated from Sunrise.
“We are thrilled to have facilitated the completion of these lease deals with top organizations on the vanguard of technology and business who appreciate everything this new property has to offer,” said Juan Ruiz, executive VP of Blanca Commercial Real Estate. “Its central location and ability to attract top talent from the area makes this property an ideal choice for any company with its eye towards the future.”
UDT received a state and local job growth incentive deal for the project based on a goal of creating 142 new local jobs with an average salary of $51,266.
“The Miramar Tech Center features some of the most advanced redundancy and backup systems in the area making it a perfect solution for any company with a robust need to provide continuous, non-interrupted service, or for any organization looking to ensure business continuity,” UDT CEO Henry Fleches said.
