DORAL, FL– May 11th, 2012 – The Latinos in Information Science and Technology Association (LISTA) has elected to honor Daniel Rodriguez, CTO at UDT (UDT), with its 2012 CTO of the Year Award. The award will be presented Thursday, May 24, at a National Latino Technology Achievers Award Gala, being held 7-10 p.m. at the Meliá Atlanta Hotel, 590 West Peachtree Street, NW, Atlanta, Ga.  A welcome reception will be held in Rodriguez’s honor 6 to 8 p.m., May 23, at the same location. The awards gala is part of an Emerging Technology Leadership Summit, being held May 24, from 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., at the Georgia Tech Research Institute, 250 14th St., NW Atlanta. It will highlight 15 years of LISTA’s focus on developing America’s 21st Century Information Sciences and Technology workforce and empowering the Latino community with technology to close the digital divide.

said Rodriguez.

In his current position, Rodriguez is responsible for all UDT technology solutions, consulting and internal information technology. Prior to joining UDT, he was the Global Alliances CTO at EMC Corporation, a $14 billion information infrastructure and storage provider. He was responsible for pre-sales systems engineering, client solutions, technology consulting, and strategic technology direction for many global Fortune 500 customers.
