UDT (UDT), an IT solutions company that expanded operations to Nashville just two

Nashville, Tenn. – March 21, 2012 –   UDT (UDT), an IT solutions company that expanded operations to Nashville just two years ago, is now one of the top businesses in the metropolitan area. The Nashville Business Journal recently selected UDT as a finalist for the 2012 Best in Business Awards.  A panel of judges picked the finalists based on financial data such as profitability and other metrics. UDT will be featured in the Best in Business special section in the Nashville Business Journal and recognized at an Awards Luncheon to be held Thursday, April 19, at the Renaissance Nashville Hotel. At the luncheon, the Nashville Business Journal will announce winners in five categories. UDT is a finalist in the category for businesses with 26-100 employees.

“It’s an honor to be recognized by Nashville’s leading business source as a company that’s thriving and having a positive impact in the Nashville area,”

said Scott Byers, UDT Vice President of Sales and General Manager.

“We continue to be the world-class choice for innovative IT solutions, not just for school districts and businesses in Nashville, but throughout the southeast.” UDT opened the Nashville office in 2010 as part of its rapid expansion across the southeast.  The company also opened offices in Knoxville, Little Rock, Lexington, Birmingham and Atlanta. UDT is not only a business sensation in the Nashville area, but it has also had a charitable impact on the community. The company has raised thousands of dollars for Nashville flood victims and the Monroe Carell Jr. Children’s Hospital at Vanderbilt through its Annual Customer Appreciation Golf Tournament at the Governor’s Club in Brentwood. “UDT is a company that believes in investing in the communities where our customers and employees live and work,” Byers said. “It’s part of our brand and we’ll continue to build on that reputation as we continue to develop a strong presence in the Tennessee area.”
