Bridging the gap between educators and new tech with Microsoft Innovative Educator

UDT’s professional development program aims to impact teaching practices to better classroom learning.

Educators have a lot to keep in mind today, and staying on top of the latest technology is only one of those things. With education technology developing at such a rapid pace, it may be difficult to know how to implement in the classroom.

To help bridge that gap, the professional development program was created. UDT’s professional development program aims to impact teaching practices to better classroom learning. UDT is proud to be a Microsoft Innovative Educator (MIE) Training Partner, helping to bridge the gap between new technology and student learning.

Courses that are available include basic introductions to Microsoft products to hands-on demos with the latest technology. These classes are meant to empower educators to seamlessly integrate what they’ve learned into the classroom and provide students exposure to the latest in technology.

Carla Bates, UDT’s Instructional Technology Professional Development Consultant, leads all our training and has been selected by Microsoft as an MIE expert. Previously, Bates worked as a middle school educator for 10 years before deciding to join UDT as a Professional Development Consultant.
