UDT Continues Rapid Acceleration of Growth in Lone Star State with Recently Awarded Texas Department of Information Resources Contract

MIRAMAR, FL (September 23, 2025)UDT (United Data Technologies), a national technology solutions leader focused on delivering enterprise IT and telecommunication solutions announced today the latest evidence of their rapid growth in Texas. A contract awarded by the Texas Department of Information Resources (DIR) will allow UDT to more easily provide information technology products and related services to public education institutions and state and local governments through DIR’s Cooperative Contract Program.

With contract DIR-CPO-5856 now in place, UDT will be able to deliver its suite of IT and telecommunication solutions and industry-leading customer service to public K-12 schools, public colleges and universities, state agencies, local governments and other entities across Texas who decide to opt in. By providing these entities the ability to work directly with UDT, the DIR contract is giving agencies increased options to meet their IT needs.

  1. Determine which systems were impacted and immediately isolate them. Take the network offline at the switch level or physically unplug the systems from the wired or wireless network.
  2. Immediately take backups offline to preserve them. Scan backups with anti-virus and malware tools to ensure they’re not infected
  3. Initiate an immediate password reset on affected user accounts with new passwords that are no less than 14 characters in length. Do this for Senior Management accounts as well.
